To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter in support of Joshua Thompson’s candidacy for the Ellensburg City Council. I first met Josh when he we an interested applicant for an appointed position approximately 2 years ago. His engagement and understanding of the issues facing our community made him a strong candidate at that time and I am glad that he was willing to file for the general election.
I value engagement and passion which are qualities Josh displays. I believe that a diversity in opinion and perspective strengthens an elected body. Our role is to represent the entire community and make reasoned, consensus decisions that protect our community’s legacy while meeting the challenges of the 21st century. It is my opinion that Josh will be up to those challenges.
